In Costa Rica gibt es ein nationales Kaffee-Institut. Jeder noch so kleine Kaffee-Bauer (die Durchschnittsgröße einer Kaffee-Farm beträgt 2 Hektar) zahlt seinen Beitrag an die Jahrzehnte alte Institution. Biologen, Agrarwissenschaftler und Verkoster arbeiten daran, die Kaffee-Qualität sicherzustellen. Für die Deutsche Welle konnte ich filmen, wie im Institut daran geforscht wird, den Kaffee klimaneutraler anzubauen. Und ich durfte einer professionellen Kaffee-Verkostung beiwohnen.
