Coffee is a serious business in Costa Rica: At the National Coffee Institute biologists, agricultural scientists, and all kinds of coffee experts are woking to make sure, the coffee is extremely good – cause it is more expensive than in other coffee producing countries. For DW – Deutsche Welle, Germany’s International broadcaster, I was in Costa Rica to report about the newest idea: Making coffee production more climate friendly. I was also attending a quick course in the art of tasting coffee. Also pretty serious – and extremely loud.
Coffee cupping:The art of observing aromas in coffee. In #CostaRica done with #lowcarbon coffee. It's so loud! #gireporter @dw_globalideas pic.twitter.com/9HxzbcIkfK
